Swimming has always been a part of my life.  I participated on my neighborhood swim team while growing up in New Jersey.  I was a certified lifeguard and swim instructor during the summers while in college.  I swam on the Glassboro State College Swim Team while getting my degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught school at every grade level from k-8 in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts.  

     I did my first triathlon about 18 years ago, and I have been hooked ever since.  I have competed at every distance and all accross the country.  I just completed my 5th Ironman at Lake Placid in July of 2012.  

     My whole family participates in swimming on some level. My husband and I swim with the Cape Cod Masters at Sandwich High School and at the YMCA in Hyannis.  My two boys, Tom and Brian, were competitive swimmers for many years.  They were a part of the YMCA Makos in Hyannis. They both swam for Sandwich High School.  They have lifeguarded on Cape Cod for many summers. Brian joined the Coast Guard and plans to use his swimming skills while serving.  Tom swam on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Swim Team as a freshman in college. They are both surfers and are very comfortable around the water.  I am proud to say, I think they have developed a lifelong love of swimming!

      AquaSafe Swim Programs allows me to combine all of my passions: swimming, teaching, children, and triathlon. I know I am lucky to be able to say that.  

      Swimming has been a blessing to me.  My goal is to share my love and enthusiasm for the sport with your family.  I know how much joy it has brought to mine!
